Ticket Info
A 'Must-See' Museum before visiting Ground Zero and known worldwide as the "Biggest LITTLE Museum in New York", the Ground Zero Museum Workshop is a 5-star rated tour in NYC and the "3rd Most Popular Attraction in New York" according to TripAdvisor.com.

View artifacts and the stunning images of Official Ground Zero Photographer Gary Marlon Suson. Called "rare photos" by the New York Times, this two-hour tour provides visitors with a front-lines look at the special people and stories from the Ground Zero Recovery. This non-graphic, kid-friendly museum stays away from the day of 9/11 and focuses more on the eight month "Recovery" that followed, when cameras were not permitted.

Tours include an introductory narration and history by your own tour guide, a 12-minute film on large screen/surround sound, an interactive walk-through of artifacts and finally the self-guided audio experience, which contains 100 stories behind each image and artifact! Ground Zero Museum Workshop is commonly reviewed by its guests as the "Best Part of our NYC Trip." The tiny Museum was inspired by Mr. Suson's visit to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, Holland. Ground Zero Museum Workshop is the only museum of its kind in New York. You won't see images like these anywhere in the world.

The museum also features lifelike "3-D Installations" that place viewers right into the "hole" at Ground Zero. Certain items/artifacts can be picked up and handled. This is allowed so visitors have a more interactive experience with the hopes of having a greater understanding of what took place during the Recovery. For example, visitors will be able to pick up WTC window glass and steel. Observing the weight and density of such items helps one to have a better understanding of the size and mass of the towers. Some remnants are on temporary loan from Ground Zero recovery workers and firemen. There are no "victim's identifiable personal belongings" in this museum; only remnants from September 11.

Audio tours programmed in French, Italian, English and Spanish. Limit 25 guests per tour, so reserve well in advance to secure your spot as this tour often sells out in advance. Gift shop on premise sells books, posters & mini-prints. On display and explained in detail are Honor Guard Ceremony images, the "Frozen Clock" image and the well-known "Genesis 11: Tower of Babylon" charred Bible page image. Images in the collection have been featured Worldwide on CNN, BBC, FOX, SKY, GETAWAY AU), NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, ASSOCIATED PRESS, ABC and NBC.

Located in Manhattan City's Historic "Meat-Packing District," about 8 minutes by subway from the actual WTC site, this is a small volume museum in an intimate, quiet atmosphere that is unlike any tour experience in New York City.
